  1. I absolutely love your collage Dani! Great use of proportion and emphasis. And I like that the background is interesting but not too busy.

The legs are also good! The use of color is excellent but I would have liked to see some more highlights/shading on the legs to make them more three dimensional. Overall, I think both of the pieces fit your concentration well! Great job!

  2. I also think the collage is good. The uniform color gives it an older look, while the use of shapes give the piece good balance. I would try and work on the neck to face transition on the tall lady. It does look a little disjoint - the only thing that bothers me about the piece.

On the shoes, I like how the red contrasts the rest of the piece, however, a lack of shading/highlights throughout the rest of the piece makes it kind of flat. Like Eva said, try and make some lighter lights on the legs to give them some dimension. I also think that the background could use some more structure. I don't think the swirls add much to the piece.

  3. I really like that colors that you chose on the bottom one.. they blend together really well and make the piece look really connected! good job :) I also like the really distint forward, middle, and background.

  5. I like the idea of the top piece. Combining drawing and collage can be very interesting. The bright color really creates emphasis and pop. Also, the tights seem like a lot of work! lots of lines and attention to detail. However, I would say be careful. because the outline of the red shoes is so obvious, the rest of the drawing needs to be very precise. Did you draw this from a picture or from observation..? The bumps on the top of the feet do not seem quite right. Also, the perspective is a little weird. What is this person doing? lying down? the heel of the bottom shoe seems a little too upright making it seem like the legs are twisted at interesting angles so that it might be hard for them to belong to the same person..

  6. The top piece is really interesting in the use of collage however i feel that the background makes it look a little lack-luster. Along with that there isn't any real definition between the background and the foreground. The second piece which i really like, is delightful in its sort of campy-ness. You really know how to embrace the best bits of collage (proportion, mixed textures, etc.) I think this one was all around a great success

  7. the drawing/ collage piece would look a lot cooler i think if it was all collage. it would basically be like a charcoal drawing, but with paper. I would consider this. it would make the piece flow better all around.

  8. plus... from what i've seen of your concentration it would be consistant with your pieces over all.
